Window mechanism

Does anyone have a decent diagram/pictures of the electric window mechanism on the disco 2? The Hayne's manual is virtually useless and my disco passenger side window is busted. Basically tries to wind but makes a hell of a racket. Sounds like something is jumping on and off guides, very loud banging with the window jumping up and down.

Any help gratefully received.

My D2 had the same symptoms and it turned out to be one of the big rivets snapped on the regulator mechanism causing the whole thing to get out of shape.

I've got no diagram sorry but once you've got the door panel off it's all fairly obvious and a new regulator isn't wildly expensive.

My front passenger window packed up, same as above.
Cost about £30 from *bay and took about 40 mins to replace.
Download RAVE on this forum, gives you all that you need to know.
I also bought the Haynes manual, a waste of £16.

Ithink the mechanism's the same as a Disco 1, once you've got the door card off it's fairly easy - I did this at the weekend cos my window regulator bust. Just remove the 6 or so bolts and manouvre the mechannism out of the bottom hole nearest the door edge then either repair or replace with new 'un which are, like somebody said, only about 30 quid on Ebay. Much easier than I thought it was going to be.
