Hi all,
My nearside front electric window has never worked, and when I had the door card off the other day I saw that the old mechanism was completely shagged, and the window was jammed up with a length of wood.
I ordered a new mechanism, and fitted it this afternoon only to find that there was nowhere for the runner which raises and lowers to attach to the window.
I had a look at the drivers side and I can see that there is a plate on the bottom of the window which the mechanism bolts to. This is absent on the one I'm fixing.
So where would I be able to find this item, and what would it be known as? I'm not keen on replacing the whole window. Worst case scenario is there any reason why I couldn't make a plate like this?
PS Just to add a bit more detail, it's like a V shaped plate, about 2/3rds the length of the window, which the window sits in. It has two tangs, which both have holes, for the mechanism to bolt to.
