window ecu replace or get rid?

I'm sick of my electric window ecu sometimes rear windows work sometimes not. Does anybody know if you can cut this out and rig a live to each the motor on a switch or something similar. I'm guessing they work on reverse polarities for up and down. Any help appreciated

had same problem and found the fix was easy mate , dry joint in ecu , took it out re soldered it and all been ok for nearly a year now . so maybe easier and quicker to do same fix ???

think fix is on here if not pm me and will look it up for you as think still have print out in book of knowledge lol ( things been told or printed off to follow when doing repairs )

You will have to be very clever to be able to stop the window dead on at the top or bottom of it's travel, without an ecu being fitted, if you didn't stop there would be a bit of damage as the window motor is very powerfull.
One of the functions of the ecu is to sense the end of window travel up or down and cut the supply.
