Trying not to be stoooopid by saying this but what do they exactly do?? Is it so you can have the window open a little bit and not get wind noise or can you have the window down quite a way and not get lots of wind noise??

They certainly look alot better than the bloke round here that has some slitty 4x4 with some massive wind deflectors that look like blinkers for a camel.

Hi wills m8 its to stop the wind and the rain but dont no how far down you can have them at the moment let you no later going for a run later in the car.

But thay look a lot better than a lot that ive seen like the one on the pajeros

Heres one on the same theme

When living abroard the trucks (pick-ups) had "bug deflectors" fitted to the leading edge of the bonnet. "deflected road grit / bugs / road salt"

So on aquiring a p38 i thought what the heck - why not and so ordered one
sourced out of the UK (produced it seems in Australia) it dully arriived and was a pretty easy instalation. 20-30mins

problem is these defectors do play with the "aerodynamics od a p38" - i hear you saying "p38´s have aerodynamics?"

Plus they are really designed to fit vehicles that run under 70MPH over that they start to flap / and the air disturbances they produce cause the the windscreen wipers to chatter against the windscreen (this can be eliminated by fitting the new generation of canterlever-less blades) but overall doesnt offset the extra air-flow noise.

all in all
Nice idea but unless you are trundling then on the autobahns motorways / expressways call them what you will find them rather irirating - iam sure they will be some one from the colonies that will beg to differ

PS fair-dos though- they do stop bonnet leading edge chipping!
