fitted some of these today ( clip-in type )

 -  Climair UK Limited

big reduction in windnoise .. even with window wide open in 5th gear speeds :)
.. do a good job of keeping out the rain as well ..
~~
as far as adding to driving pleasure .. a worth while improvement for sure :)

Fitted the Climair ones to both my wife's Freelander and my 90 this week and am very pleased.

Bought direct from Climair (cheaper than through a dealer or off Ebay plus I then managed to get an additional 10% club discount) they arrived in 2-days which I think is quite good.
Fitting was a breeze, at about 1-2 minutes a unit it took longer to clean the windows inside & out than to actually fit the deflectors!
In use they are fine, they don't get in the way or stop the window closing properly and I am sure they reduce the buffeting at speed.

All in all a good buy and well worth it.

I fitted the Climair a while back, driver side cable started to crunch then snapped shortly afterwards, but only because the cable was rusty and would have gone soon anyway. Easy fit for new cable and would not be without the deflectors now, well worth the hastle of the cable.

"rain-x" on the glass 'n clip-in part of the deflector will act as a lubricant ..
less stress on the window cables .. in theory :)

tried a a few substances on some glass bottles .. to see what might suit
'rain-x' was the slippery'st

~~

i'm in the habit of leaving the window cracked a few mm anywayz ..
although .. no doubt the cables will snap due to corrosion/age someday :)
'n when they do .. 'ill go down the stainless steel cable route ..
