winches are awesome :D

i saw a bloke with a RRC at muddy bottom P&P a few months back with either the 9 or 12k version, he tried pulling his mates RRC out backwards and it wound up and then stopped! didnt make a noise or nothing. dont know if he was running quality batt cable or if he had it set-up right but it just didnt budge it. i enquired about the bloke having his handbrake on because it should have got him out.

they just said it was too stuck and he needed to be pulled out...

dont know what was going on there as we had been stuck there previously and had no problem winching our way through forward using my Warn M8000 :) and my mates 8274.

pics just for grunt.

i cant afford a warn . i got one o them chep 12000 lbs of ebay and thats pretty good its just so slow. and yer winches are awesome

I've had a Chap12000 for about a year now, I know its slow but gets the job done. Brilliant for pulling felled trees to somewhere accessable, ripping out stumps, even pulled a mashed defender off the road that plod couldn't shift with his rangie.

Buy Warn if you can afford it but for the money I'm well chuffed.
