Winch & bumper recomendation please

Hi all,
I'm looking to get a new winch and bumper for my 2002 90. I was hoping to get a square prifile bumper and have been looking at an offering from Frist Four (www.firstfour.co.uk) with a Superwinch LP8500, new bumper and all the cables etc. for less than £500, which seems good value compared to buying bits off of eBay and a lot less hassle.

Does anyone have any experience with the LP8500 or can comment on First Four product / service before I click "buy it now"?

have you really thought about why you need a leccy winch ?

I'm planning on several expeditions around Europe, some Green Laning and so on. So to extract me and me mates if we get stuck.

I'm not planning on tree stump removal or anything.

1st 4 are very good. a friend of mine has an 8274 strapped to one of their shadow bumpers. Actually, im not sure if they still use his 110 on their website ad. Its a red 110 with an 8274 attached to their shadow bumper. good bit of kit that is now on his V8 90. has pulled him and me out of some sticky stuff. bumper is STRONG, highly recommended.

I however would recommend an ARB winch bumper

very nice and does not get broken when you hit a dog at 30mph

tried and tested. also makes a good ice breaker when fording frozen rivers. protects lights and radiator too.

get a new one from TBR

expensive, but you wont ever get rid of it
