Ok so I've gone and bought a winch bumper from Defender Upgrades -

http://defenderupgrades.co.uk/product/wildbear-discovery-2-led-fog-light-winch-bumper/

Overall really pleased with it, looks great, LED fog lamps are superb, I've added an A bar and a numberplate holder which make it look a little more "complete" in my opinion - I've added a couple of small LED spots to e A bar. Now here's the bit where I make some excuses about being really busy, etc., etc. and not having time to do things myself (the truth may well be that it's a bloody heavy bumper and i'm, according to the missus, "bloody lazy" - though I strongly dispute this, of course!!). Anyway, for whatever reason you wish to believe, I took it to my local garage to fit the bumper at the same time as getting a load of wiring done for roof light bar, spots, rear work lamps, etc.. All went well, apart from the bottle guards not being fitted as i'd bought one from eBay as the seller never got round to fitting it (and it was cheap!) and then bought a drivers side one from Defender Upgrades to make the front look balanced and "right" - the problem here being that they sent the wrong one (the garage didn't know which was which so didn't fit either to allow me to send one back if I could - which is now being done)

The other thing they didn't fit was the washer jets, telling me that there is apparently an extension pipe needed to fit them. Now so far none of the guys I know locally have heard of this and think the jets should be a straight fit and pipes should be long enough; I can't find anything listed anywhere for an extension pipe (assuming that there is a need for some sort of joining piece, not just another bit of pipe so haven't looked at standard size pipe bought by the length).

Has anyone else fitted one of these and if so then what did you do to resolve this??

Also, now looking for the right winch at the right price - I use a Samurai Warrior 8000 on my trailer and, so far, I've been really pleased with it. So i'm considering the 12000 version for the front of the Disco (£372 delivered seems to be about the best price for them). Has anyone else used one and what's your experience? Or does anyone have any suggestions for a good, strong winch for this sort of money (or less)?

Pictures............You know the roolz..................:p

Shirley an extension would just be a bit of pipe the right length IF needed.

Cheers

haha yeah pictures are on the way - I promise (but they look sooooo much better in the daylight!) - wanted to put roof rack on first and make it look (almost) finished!

makes sense about pipes, i'll have a measure myself tomorrow and see. I was sort of hoping someone else might have already fitted the same one and would be able to tell me if standard pipes fit or if I need to sort out a work around.

Interior is looking good now too - got a Raptor pod for CB and ready to fit a tachograph and then fitted a Mud pod on top for switches, etc.
