Whats your opinion of Superwinch Tigershark series?

Slow but very waterproof and so far, touch wood, very reliable. Probably done at least a hundred pulls of varying lengths and weights in the last year and it is still going strong. Im out almost every weekend during the season and it gets used at least 2 or 3 times an outing for either self recovery or helping out others.

It may be at the lower end of spec but if you maintain the line and take a little care about cleaning it off after muddy play days I can say its a decent winch for the money, as for line speed I spool out on freespool and back in on power and it has always got me out of the sticky stuff.

^^^ good to hear this

Sounds about right for a middle of the road unit, best of luck with it :)

In my experience, strip and rebuild before it eats itself is the key to winch longevity!

Couldnt agree more about the strip and rebuild thing, may even get it off the disco over winter and do it then as i dont play out when its -20 so being in the shed with the heating on rebuilding the winch might just be a good way of escaping the wife for a bit :D

£150 if ur interested cost £365 plus vat new

That is a very nice bumper! if you`ve still got it in a few months time ill be up to see you! that is the sort of bumper id be looking for, kinda looks like a factory bumper but isn`t....if you get me! :D

Used Warn m8000 could be around your budget

Just have a scout about and see what's available and we will appraise it for you :)

SAM! ivejumped in and bought a winch! its a supawinch x6......i know its a little small for a disco i suppose but i got it for a good price and if it does a good enough/half decent job and i find im using it more than i thought i would then i can then justify spending more on an upgrade etc

At the min im laning every 2/3 months so will only get used (or not.....hopfully) then unless i get stuck in the works carpark! :)

Whats your thoughts?

Superwinch x6 is from the old guard, they've been around for donkeys and always will be

If it's a good runner I say good shout!

45seconds is quick dude!!!

Mine ONLY runs at 60ft/min!

My xd9000 is 156:1 and it's not fast but it's not the slowest low line winch neither.

Should be 11.58m/min no load acording to warn.

It will depend on the rpm of the motor ect.

If you spending £300 go buy a second hand warn or superwinch, not a new super winch as they are the same Chinese crap that will let you down when you most need it.
