hi all...only just really started watching this forum but coincidentally was in Frome yesterday for the cheese show and I think I saw you all bimbling about... were you lost? I thought Frome was in Somerset..

right folks just back from hols, brief write up to follow and a few piccys to come later on this evening, with regards to to mjltigger i do not get lost and it was not us in Frome bimbling about as you put it, did'nt go near there all day, soz...

well what a days laning was had, thanks again to those whom once again made the trip to join in and for those whom could'nt your loss... 08:00 laning comenced with a short easy lane close to j17, and then our next lane to our dissapointment had now been closed, oh was this going to be the order of the day, but luckily that was to be the only one... a long challenging route befell us with nothing much to bother the landys apart from one lane that got a bit funky... plenty of scratchy lanes in that part of the country didnt dampen the mood and we pressed on straight from one lane to the next and the next within yards of each other was the way the planned route fell to us...we had now reached Newbury and was time to make our way back across the country via sailsbury ranges, and by now it was getting late in the day and we had not stopped through mud, water and dense undergrowth lane after lane even the local hippy gathering didnt stop us as they blocked the by-way, outa the blue the police turned up and started clearing the route for us with a big smile too... just as we got to the ranges darkness started to fall and armed only with the os map of we went, and boy did we find some deep wet holes on there and a few tanks hiding in the shrubs, mid way through the ranges we were meet by a vast ammount of offroaders on an navagation exercise after a chat away we went on into the darkness and boy the ranges are hard to navigate in the dark with only a map and a dog to help looking for holes in the hedge's in the dark and this we did till 23:45 with over a hundred odd miles covered to boot...

and a few piccys...
