As some of you mate know, Thursday night was a bit of a night that ended up with me having a smashed ninety and me in hospital for the night after we left the road and rolled!
I wont go into details on what actually happened but here is the outcome:

So, the current plan is, since I cant afford to buy another landrover, is to rebuild mine and get it back on the road! This is going to be expesive but in all fairness there was a few problems with the cab and such which wanted attending to and hopefully I can get hold of second hand body parts in reasonable condition and salvage a few pieces!

The real make or break of this project being- Is the chassis straight?! I think the landrover rolled in such a way that the chassis should not have actually come into contact with the ground, believe it or not, but today my plan is to see if i can get the drivers door off and measure around the chassis to see what is what.
I will keep you posted folks!

Jeeeeez.

Glad you came out of it mostly ok, that is a mess.

I wonder if it would be cheaper to get a knackered 90 and move the panels over.

Its added charecter James.......

Yea looking at a few options at the minute, Im looking for panels seperatly as well as old vehicles and bodies that people have got going. I think its going to be a bit of a patchwork puzzle!

I have just had a look and even ones that are knackered are £3k.

It's an exciting project, just a shame it is so close to Winter!

Yea, couldn't have happened at a worse time!!! Yea, I'm going to see what panels are required and what I can salvage later on today...... You never know jt might look worse than it is.

Looks like you had a lucky escape there! Hopefully the damage to the 90 is just bent body panels- with relatively soft suspension that should have absorbed some of the loading as well as the deforming of the body preferentially to the chassis. The mechanical parts may have taken loads in all sort of unintended directions though. Will be worth stripping it down to assess what's happened to what.

Yea I went down today and had a good look around it. Unfortunately I was on my own so I couldn't measure. One thing that is a bit iffy with my chassis is that the front Crossmember has been cut and welded before, presumably in its MOD life and so its an interesting game at the moment. there is a part of the chassis on the drivers side in the engine bay which looks slightly twisted some how but otherwise ok and it looks like the passengers side rock slider may have been pushed back but again I am not certain. I think I need some assistance working this one out!!!

Oh, and one other thing......THE ENGINE RUNS!!!!!! I was certain it was running when I came to a stop and I checked the oil and water level this morning and it fired up, after some heater plugs, so we have one positive to work with :)

Looking at the shape of the cab I think you are really lucky. Hope you're ok and get yourself and the landy sorted out.

I have some pictures, I think, of where it has sheared bits of metal in half and the roof and back are barely attached to the motor! To get away with what I did, well someone was looking over me that night!

Oh wow that is so bad............... hope yr OK and can get it sorted :)

I truly hope you and anyone else involved are safe from injury.
You have certainly made a mess of that truck I hope it looks worse than what it really is. At this time of the year you could do without this work.
Good luck with the rebuild if that's the way you will go.

The current plan is to strip down the majority of the landrover this weekend, and see what we have. Then I'm going to decided if to do it at the farm it is at now or if to move it to a friends.
At the moment I think we have:
Inner wing (Passengers Side)
Seat Box
Drivers Side Rear Quater panel
Everything on the back end.
The tub looks alright but the passengers rear quarter is bent and so is the rear bulkhead. Everything else is bent or twisted in some way. Hopefully when it is stripped I can see what happened to the chassis!
