No doubt you're right and if it was my main motor I'd def go with the bosch one, thanks for finding it for me, but longevity is not going to be an issue. My 95 RRC is on its last legs as regards the great invasion of rust worm (I live 40ft from the sea). The rear cross member is gone, the bulk head is gone the arches are on their way out. I use it as a weekend run about, saving the P38, to bring the kids to the beach (along private roads) and rubbish to the bring centre once a month. Its not fit for road use.

Trouble is its been a right b!tch to start lately. Its an electrical problem cause if it does start it starts easily from then on hot or cold, but if it doesn't, all the cranking in the world wont get it to fire.

I've come down on the side of poor spark but no way am I going to throw money at it. There are no scrap V8's in Ireland so I can't get at easy engine parts to try different ones so I'm goin for the obvious ones first.

The TVR one is the cheapest new one I can find so if it works I'm prepared to take a punt.

Perfect DC, thanks a million.

Hey Irish, are you back in the country? Nice soft Irish spring to greet you :p:p

Yeah, back over to the UK end of March till late April.

It's certainly wet and windy here, can imagine what it's like down your way.
Only back 2 days and had to unlock a Becm, fortunately the guy only lives about 3 miles from Edenderry...small world.
