Not exactly. This oil was designed to use in all areas of some tractors, one example is Fordson diesel major, this oil was specified for engine. gearbox and back axle by Ford for this tractor. I have owned Fordsons and I did not do this. preferring to use a high quality diesel oil in the engine as I think they have more detergent and hold the soot better than universal. The universal oil is more for tractor boxes and axles with wet brakes and dfflocs in them.
Im not sure what landy you have, but I use 90 weight gear oil in the diffs, transfer box and swivels. MTF in main box, and the very best turbodiesel spec engine oil I can find in the engine.
