Had my share of EAS faults. Been OK for a while since I repaired the compressor bags etc. But it has now gone into the high mode.

I have some spare sensors but they are slightly different from the units fitted. Mine is a P38 1995.

Sensor fitted. Colvern No CP17/414 16595
Spares Dunlop CP17/417 16897

Hole centres and arms are the same. Connection looks different, but should be no problem.
Will they be OK ???

Thanks for any info

Thank you for your info. I think I am going to dowload the sofware and find out the specific problem. Fairly sure it is sensor related, but I would have to change one at a time to find out + the ones I am fitting are used and they may have a fault!

Now I need a laptop (cheaper and easier in the long term as my RR gets older)

Thanks again

Yes lights flashing and stuck. Checked the compressor relay. solonoids( for sticking not operation). Decided to put front sensors on anyway, now gone into hard fault!
Just rigging up a permanent pnuematic system. push on fittings and two reducers so I have different pressures to front and back.
I need a lap top anyway so now would be a good time to get a deal.
Thanks for your help again.

Download the free software from RSW as it works well and if you are lucky Storey will give good advice on this website.
You will need a laptop with a serial port or lead convertor. When you buy your lead make sure it is more than 1.5 mtrs long or you will find its too short to be of any use.
Old and new sensors are basically the same (resistance wise) but have a different plug/socket arrangement and a new convertor bracket ( Rear sensors) which is side sensitive.

I hope this helps

Thank you for your info Fred. My sensors are the moulded lead type and the spares I have are Plug/Socket I just soldered wires onto the socket pins and turned them into flying leads, + filled the socket up with silicoln.

I have seen the Storey Wilson site. I am sure he has helped a lot of people with not much in return.
I am away now for a week so cannot thank any more free information givers.
