Should be fine especially on mud terrains, they'll cope with the stones easily.

I can't remember what size tyre was the best for your disco, probably best post another thread asking what size tyre is best........

Chery is just normal diesel with a coloured dye and a few chemical tracers added to it. so any diesel engined car will (should) run on it. Biggest problem is most of it is stored in rusty old storage tanks on farms/and building sites. and until recently BoatYards. and it tends to have loads of crap/rust/water in it which fooks ya engine up.

I'd say modern tractors (100k is nothing for a decent higher HP tractor nowadays) have more advanced engines than most Landys. Mines a bastard to start/run with even the tiniest bit of dirt or water in the system. Silage times a nightmare drawing diesel from different farms, costs us a fortune in filters..:(

John Deere by any chance?

If you look at marine boats and tractors that use red bet they got more than one filter unlike a car that has one .
We got a stupid chap at work that used to run red in a pegeout diesel 78,000

They have just told him the fip is fecked

Now the cars old and he's going to shell out on a new car !

So what did he save ?

F all!

so how long does the dye stay in the system.my landy was a farm hack, and im pretty sure they put red in it?and how do i stand if i get stopped?

Itl run fine on red diesel red is just dye.n chemicals in normal derv.get caught and your in deep doo doo. And you have to have it all cleaned out.very costly so half price red costs more in the long run but go for it pal. Vosa do random spot hecks on any vehicle and if modified you bring attentiin to yourself anyway.

Claas Axion mate..;)

Still got JD engine, just had to change all of the fuel lines on the 6920s at work as the bio mix in the red perished the rubber and was seeping through. Was leaking about 1ltr a day. It also freezes quicker and the cooling fans on NH tractors blow onto the fuel filters and in the winter freezes the fuel as you are working. Fooking European regulators.
