intentional innuendo there .

Series 3 is due for MOT , needs a wheel cylinder replacing , I can't get rear wheel nuts off (I've tried everything , heat , cold , breaker bar , everything ) . Do you think if I go to garage and ask them to loosen nuts so they are manageble with power tools they will do it for a bit of cash ?

They'll usually do anything for a bit of cash ...

Should do. Why not just cut them off with a small angle grinder and cutting disc, carefully cut down close to the stud, then remove with a hammer and cold chisel. New set of steel wheel nuts is about a tenner for that, for all four wheels, delivered.

What do you expect them to use that you have not already tried? unless they are going to do what turboman has suggested, which may be your only option.
Have you tried penetrating oil and leaving for a while?

If you put your location, maybe someone is nearby with the kit to do it rather than go to a garage.

Cheers

Shirley, that would depend what the problem is, it they are seized then the irwins are not going to help much.

Cheers

Don’t call me Shirley. I have to admit that I made a special preparation only known to a few million before hand as see here on YouTube

And the combo of chem and mechanical got the job done without heat

I said skilled hands. Why mess around. Some of us have to get on. As I said, new set of nuts is a tenner for all four wheels.
because some of us do not agree with using a bazooka to crack a nut. But all methods will work depending on the size of your bulls knackers :D

I hope the OP is turning the nuts in the correct direction and with a 1/2 drive 6 point socket with a big breaker bar and 4' piece of pipe, then stand on the pipe and bounce on it. I have never been defeated doing this method

Thanks for replies , I haven't got an angle grinder , what I was thinking is that garage could use an impact wrench and I could give them a tenner , I know it will fail MOT due to leaking wheel cylinder and I already have the new cylinder to put it , I just don't want to pay garage £45 in labour to do a job I'm capable of doing ( apart from getting the wheel off!)

Why not buy your own Impact Wrench with the money ;)
