Hi all,
I have searched the forums for the answer but can"t find any questions or answers on this subject.
I have a very clean Freelander 1 but the usual problem, the drivers seat is worn and ripped. I have been offered at a decent price a full set of Freelander 2 cloth seats, BUT will they fit????
Please, any help really appreciated.

You can always look for a new set of covers. They come up on eBay periodically for reasonable money. Once fitted, the seats look like new.

Yeah, I have thought about seat covers but the ones I have looked at "ie BRITPART" don"t look as if they fit properly.
I watch Wheeler Dealers on TV and they always seem to be able to get their hands on replacement covers for the cars they are renovating.
Do you or anyone else know if LandRover sell replacement covers for the Freelander 1?
 
LR parts supply can be good for slow moving things like seat covers and stuff. I got a new squab for my 05 D3 drivers seat without an issue. I think it was about £100 which I thought was a good price. So give LR a go but don't forget to try other LR parts suppliers too. There will be a cover out there.
My TD4 SE has black leather so was easy to restore to its original lustre with a simple coloured protector.
 
I have seen the genuine seat covers listed and in stock with land rover for about £100 too. These are the covers that replace the actual cloth on the foam cushions, not the add-on covers that are used to provide additional protection to the existing seats. My driver's seat is showing signs of wear along that outside seam, so it's something I've been looking at too.

Go to a site like http://www.allbrit.de/UGCtree.cfm?SPRACHE=EN where you get access to all the LR part numbers, then contact some UK suppliers with the numbers. Some will give you an indication online if the part is something LR still carry, and what the cost is.

Just been on the "allbrit" site and they show 2 serial numbers ie: 1A000001 or 2A000001.
How do I find out which is for my car?

Easy. Look through the bottom left of the windscreen at the chassis number. It will start 1A.. ,2A.. ,3A.. and so on ;)

Hi Nodge68,
Looked at my chassis number and it is######## 13A288136, does that mean mine is a 3A or a 13A?
Allbrit seat numbers only start with a 1A or 2A. Now I"m totally flummoxed. Does that mean that none of their seat covers are the same as mine.
Help please.
