Will a Clutch master cylinder work as the the brake master cylinder.Rather than having the sepearte resovoir?

the vehicle in question is a 1973 series 3,with 1 brake pipe coming from the existing master cylinder, help kindly appreciated, im sure I read this somewhere on the net some time back,,but for the life of me cant find it now.

Thanks

I would not do it because the reservoir on the clutch master cylinder is smaller than that used with the brake master cylinder. You don't want the oil level going to low and air getting sucked into the braking system.

if you have drum brakes then the size of the reservoir is not important, with out a foot valve the trailing shoe will return and your pedal will go to the floor
