Will a disco steering wheel fit my series 3 ? as i dont like the one thats on and want somthing alot chunkyer or know any others what fit thanks

I got a Mountney Leather one in 15" size, so 2" smaller than original. Any smaller and you got to go to the gym

I have a Triumph Dolimte wheel in the 2a 88" it's fine, you should always try to be moving to steer anyway even if it's just inching forward or backward or you'll end up with very sloppy steering box and there only so much ajustment before you get loads of free play. You'll have fun taking the original wheel off too, can you film it so i can have a laugh?

I have a 10 inch (Snigger) Astrali wheel.. Bearing in mind Most Classic minis had 12 inch wheels!..

Gives **** loads of room inside the cab and it doesnt effect steering too much.. Think of it this way you dont want to be steering when stood still becuase that nackerers your steering box and linkages and tyres..

I have found those aftermarket mourtney wheels just flex in your hands!.. My mates on his 2a with 205s on literally just flexes back and forth!

Why not try a 10-12 inch astrali wheel with HGV knob?.. You know the kind that bolts to your wheel so you can steer one handed? Thats what im going for when I have passed my test.. Trying to keep out of bad habits you see

10" steering wheel....nah, not if you are doing hundreds of miles a day!

Anyone else had the prob with Mountney ones flexing?

Me old III had a 12 & it wuz ok on & offroad. Me current wun's got a 13" & is fine doing 'undreds of miles a day.

Dunno abart flexing, but I did hit it in anger wunce & bent it to fark! Bent back easy enuff & it's good to know if it ever hits me it'll bend without doing too much damage. ;)

The Dibnah had a 13" steering wheel (Ok Grippa - i know it was red:eek:) and that was ok with 7:60's.

I think its the steering column yu need to be more worried about:eek:!
