Will a 2.5TD exhaust manifold fit?

Hi, i currently have a 2.5TD engine in my Series 3 that i would like to replace with a Discovery 200TDi.

Is it possible to fit the exhaust manifold from the 2.5TD onto the 200TDi?
I ask because i have the proper steve parker exhaust to fit (and i am tight and don't want to shell out for the conversion pipe!!)

some people have done it but the studs do not line up. they had to cut a long piece of flat plate and clamp the manifold top and bottom to the head that way. looked a bit **** to me but it seemed to work!

That does sound like a bit of a bodge!! If the ports line up though i might see if there is a better way of holding it on

thats just it i dont know if they do correctly. personally i would stick to a proper 200 item whether disco or defender if you can find one!
Maybe try googling it and you may find something, cant remember where i came across it now!
