Will 13cm speakers fit in TD5 dash (5.25")?

I'm sure this has been asked before but search revealed nothing..

The TD5 dash apparently has a bit more space behind the speakers than the earlier models. Anyone fitted 5.25" (13cm) speakers fit in the hole using adapters? will the speakers need to be spaced out at all?
