ps i will be up for a recce run if a few peeps are up for it one weekend before that lot go - just that im gonna be all out kit prepping well into the new year, maybe check out if the 160 mile loop is doable in december or something?

as long as theres another couple of vehicles we should be ok!

Sounds good will PM you nearer the time and sort something out.

cool beans - i will be out of the country from 2 weeks till mid november and due to the location ( about as isolated in the central american rainforests as is humanly possible) i may not have internet for prolongued periods.

but when im back i will be desperate for something to do in the landy, so i will say early september, trial weekend run. should have my rooftent by then so maybe do campnig and see just how many lanes we can fit in. if we only take a few more prepped vehicles we can get more done and then guage what slightly less kitted vehicles could manage.

basically, i am using it as an excuse for some full on flat out non stop laning in december :D

Hey I'd definitely be up for this! if there's room of course... promise not to get too stuck for too long!

The plains is a big place and group size isn't quite as important as it would be anywhere else so no real limit on numbers on this trip. If we get loads we can split the groups so one goes clockwise & the other goes anti clockwise, and we can all meet halfway round. And if it gets to be massive we can have 4 groups, 2 going in each direction with a 20 minute gap between them. Once you've watched a doz tanks roll past, a group of 7 or 8 landies seems quite small

cough cough - did that last experience answer your question

actually - yes. just make sure either im here, or some other crazy fool is there with enough grip to get you out!!

redwings you on facebook?

I'm going to have some new tyres and a suspention lift by then i hope, so i won't end up sitting on my diff's and/or chassis

How about you come on a AA truck as we all lost count on how many times you got stuck and recoverd by carpy. He looked like a bendy bus 110

Haha! Now then Carpy got temporally stuck too, Made a good ground anchor :D

I'm now going to take my plough off (tow bar) and get some taller tyres in the hope that my help me get stuck less often.
