Wierd Oil leak TD5 HELP

Hello, new to this and all that and newish to Land Rovers too ..

I noticed an oil leak, very clean oil dripping from the front of the gearbox.. i think its just under where the clutch should be (told you i was new but there are two 13mm nuts and a 'large allen key threaded thing' in the area where the oil is dripping.

I have checked engine oil.. its ok, and i checked the gearbox oil and its ok tooo (had to put about 200mil in).. however, both oils were a tad dirty and not clean.

Today i noticed that it felt like i was towing something, just feels very heavy. Gears all ok, clutch no different etc.

Any ideas what it could be ??

did yer check g/box oil or was it the T/box yer checked. if yer dunt know what yer doing you may have checked t/box oil in which case get a book then get yer arse back under and check g/box

Yea .. i think i checked the gearbox.. followed the instructions in the haynes manual, had to use a torx 55 bit thing..

Any other ideas??

Tint comin from the rocker box is it an drippin down ?

No, its not from there, its very clean oil, unlike the colour of the engine oil, nor the gearbox oil. Im just getting concerned that it feels like im towing something, power loss.

i had a similar problem where the cluch slave cylinder was leaking but the fluid went into the gearbox then dripped out
clutch fluid is clearish and can appear to a gearbox leak
check clutch fluid in the master cylinder

hi td5 do suffer with the fuel pressur regulator leaking on the side of the head at the back drivers side.

this sound like your problem hence the power loss??

if you remove your engine cover you should be able to see the pressure reg.

hope this helps you out, let us know what you find.

clear oil? it's diesel. your fuel pressure regulator hose or joint is leaking. hence you need to replace it. you see really clear oil dripping down and it's about 4 drops per minute.
