why is 200tdi faster than 300tdi

My boss has got a 1993 K reg 200tdi disco and a 1998 S reg 300tdi disco,why is the 300 tdi sluggish and slower than the 200.They are both bog standard. Please can anyone give any advice on what could be causing this. Cheers lr666.

blocked egr valve, clogged intercooler blocked/dirty fuel filter or sedimentor. knackered injectors, worn valves worn/broken piston rings. Over sized tyres the list is endless.

Cheers,so no quick fix then,just go though and try to eliminate one by one,first one sorted standard 235s so thats a start.Cheers lr666
