If it was me I'd see what the mot on the disco shows up, if reasonable keep the disco and sell the tratter to pay for repairs to the series. You might then end up with a decent daily driver (esp for passengers) and an appreciating asset in both the series and later on with the disco.
The series to be fair to it doesn't need a massive amount doing to it, mainly just putting back together and spraying. Apart from doors and seals it's fairly complete

If the Jeep is really your dream car, then you might be best selling the Fender and keeping the Disco and Series. Take your time doing the Series up, do the best job you can on it so it'll be worth more later. When it's at a good price sell it and the Disco and buy your Jeep. This plan falls apart if the Jeep prices are rising in line with the Series prices. :(

Decent cjs are easily comparable with series even more so when they've got a 360cid v8. It only did 8mpg on a good day mostly it was probably closer to 4. Needless to say i had a good job at the time

I haven't come out the closet and bought a hippo though :D

Well, if another cjs is not really a possibility then I would keep the Fender and Series. If funds are low I'd make the Series a slow project. I know that doesn't solve the chassis and bulkhead for the Fender. :(

It was one of the fastest things I've ever driven and I'd wanted one since I was a kid
It looks canny to me. I'd defo have a Willy's. None of the new Jeeps do anything for me. At least the CJ's certainly don't look like something Walt Disney designed.;)
