Hi all, be interesting to see what owners do with there RR's for work?
I myself run a Pest Control and ecology company www.pestprobirdsolutions.co.uk and most weeks throughout the season we are engaged on ground nesting bird mitigation work which means running our trained pointers and setters around across certain plots and GPS logging all the bird activity etc, in order for construction companies to be able to proceed with projects without breaking wildlife laws in the process, makes for interesting work?, but a dirty Range Rover when wet.
Any other unusual uses for your RR.?

I drive about 3000 miles a month for work so have an Audi diesel, I would need about 170 gallons of petrol to do that in that there Range Rover.
Nice plug by the way ;)

I work at home!!
She doesn't go out much...
Apart from mud and forest bashing!!
I likes a bit of forest bashing I does!!
Mmmmm foreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeest.....

Holiday Chicken, I have to drive Off Road across all types of sites, the current one is Solar Farm in Chichester and I am based in Reading but need the flexibility to be able to drive Off Road if needed so require a 4x4 so what better.
We also have a Ford Ranger but I prefer the Range Rover.

I used to use my Blue Rangie for work. Manchester/York & back in a day sort of stuff (480/500 mile round trips) and Benfleet to Weybridge to the office.
Was OK on LPG and the company was paying for a Petrol car allowance rate. Was more comfy in my old 206 shape 500SEL though for long journeys.
Considering I paid £16k for the Blue Rangie and I was on car allowance @ £500/Month (£300 after tax) I reckon I got paid £24k for the car over the 8 years I had it, so it effectively cost me very little or was a freebie.

I no longer work but I used to drive approx 1000miles round trip to go to work. Sometimes in the same week, sometimes weeks apart. Odd ................the battery never complained then ;)
Now I just volunteer, which involves all sorts of things, including being a limo for rescue dogs :D

Have you still got that 740 mate ?
No, sold that big bevarian beauty last year to pay for the P38!!

This is a baby 318iSE Auto we bought last June when our previous 110 had to go and we needed a cheap run around for a while while we sorted out what to do.....onl;y cost £300 and it is a great little run about for when on of the Landies has gone south!

I'm in the same positon as you (retired 13 years ago) & my Classic often stands for a couple of weeks between usage without battery problems, despite it being a basic spec. off-the-shelf job from the local auto shop.
Good for you with the doggy volunteering ;)
