The reason that they do not delete accounts is to make the site look more important than what it is when selling advertising, etc. That is, the more members the more it is worth.

Not back. A link on another site led me here. I had actually forgotten all about the site including the address. Once here I remembered it and decided to have a look to see if anything had changed.
