Who said swapping door skins was easy??

I seem to recall I said this - look on my rebuild thread I re-skinned my welded and galvanised frame on the drivers side.

First things that sound like it caused you issues was the fact that you didn't remove stuff! Looks like you have done it now but for the benefit of others... Strip the door of the glazing, handle, hinges, window channels etc. Once you unpick the outer edges of the skin you will be able to poke under the skin and ease it up from the inner edges of the window frame.

While your skin is off treat all the metal work and stuff.

Yeah, I removed everything in the end, was much easier then.

Just couldn't bend the galvanised skins over. I think it would be OK with a press or a decent wooden hammer but I had neither and by that point I had already dented the skin
