Who do you wave at?

when driving around...

do you wave at all landy owners?

or do you just wave at the owners that have the same model as you?

I try and wave at every landy owner

I had a few people in disco's stick their finger up at me and laugh when I was in my freelander.

Now i'm in my disco, hardly any disco drivers wave back.

Prefer pretty girls



Especially if their car is a muddy landy

I wave at anyone I know regardless of what they're driving.

I sometimes get mixed up and wave at Landy drivers when I'm on the motorbike, and at bikers when I'm in the Landy. Seems to cause more confusion than anything...

Anyone in a Defender or series, usually get a wave back! Modded Discos & RRs I'll wave back if they wave at me, never seen a Freelander wave at me tho

I don't wave at anyone if I'm going more than 43mph..
Too scared to take a hand off the steering wheel....

I always wave at fellow Fender owners. I generally always get a wave back.. We have that bond of imminent breakdown )

I agree!, any journey more than 1/2 mile, I make as many friends as I can.
I will say though that I have never ever come across a broken down series or tratter in 20 yrs of driving them.

Yeah ok, That comment is a thing called humour. Lets face it there's always something bloody wrong with them.

Having the sleeves on my jacket buckled at the back precludes me from waving at anyone just now.

I only wave a Defenders that are grubby and look like the real deal. I try and run shiny pimped up Defenders off of the road and set them on fire but that's just me.

Wave at Defenders and Series, more often than not you don't get a wave back from the new shininess, almost always from older or custom jobs. Great way to make friends though as 90 owners invariably think you're waving 'em down and helpfully stop to see what's leaking, on fire or dropped orrff.

I love 'em. I've only had mine since July and I had an L322 before that. My Landy mechanic is moaning at me now because I'm doing more and more of my own repairs and maintenance. Love pulling over and chatting with another landyite, can't wait for the LZ do.

Gawd! If you waved at every Land Rover owner around here you'd have Repetitive Strain Injury in a couple of days. And no-one would know why you were waving at them!

Bollocks to waving.

I've old series, disco 2 and new defender and only get waved at in the series and defender.

Why should a model make a difference? On my bike I will nod at all, even Harley riders and mostly get a nod back.

I wave at everyone but in an attempt to reduce the effort involved with such frequent gestures of comradeship I only use one finger

Ill wave at all Land rover and range rover drivers (except disco sport, rr sport and rr evoke)
More often than not ill get a wave back

i wave at all series and defenders. Even the miserable old gits that i see regularly and don't wave back!

I wave at other series and most defenders i know the type round here where not to bother. i also kind of wave at jeep drivers, well its more of a hand gesture but they get the message - obviously joking there as a mobility scooter could over take me
