Who do you wave at?

I never wave to anyone, especially later model LR products. I give a thumbs up to any pre 1983 Series Landy, never to a RR. I also give a thumbs up to any period vehicle pre 1980 whether it's a car, truck or military. It's a heritage thingy. Post 2000 LR products might as well be another brand as far as I'm concerned.
 
I wave at 'proper' defender + 90/110 (pre-puma), and any series/fc/lightweight etc

I will also wave at old Skool RR classics but not just any old p38 etc

I don't wave at anything else, certainly not 'modern' JLR ejokes etc
 
Oh and I also don't wave at the 10inch lift, 50 orange beacons, chevron emblazoned 4x4 response squad lol, even if they wave at me

I had a few people in disco's stick their finger up at me and laugh when I was in my freelander.

Now i'm in my disco, hardly any disco drivers wave back.

No-body - I'm hacked off with either being ignored or just getting blank stares, even from same-model drivers, so now I don't bother.

I only wave at Land Rovers. If its got another name on the back its just a car and they know nothing.
I understand some of these defender drivers actually believe they have a Land Rover so if they wave I laugh and point.
 
I wave at all Series and Defenders don't bother with newer models although I do get a wave from Disco 4 so obliged to wave back
 
More or less given up due to lack of waves back, but do get the odd one from other Discos and older Defenders.
 
I've been waved at and I now wave back at series LRs and Defenders. If I were waved at by any other Land Rover model they would also get a polite wave back but based on my limited time with my Defender, so far it's just the two mentioned.
 
Maybe it's because I'm in a Disco, but rarely get a wave. If I see a fellow D1/D2 owner with a modded/off roader I'll sometimes get a stare and a nod but I've not seen a whole lot of waving going on.
 
I have had enthusiastic waves from other live axle Discovery owners, but only 1 from a D4 but I know them.

New Puma Defenders and later RRs do not seem part of the club, anything modded seems to.
