Its not all bad chabrolly..........if your wife likes the car then buy it:) . Have you a local Land Rover supplier nearby, just for peace of mind?

I would recommend air-con if you are in Lebanon:cool:

aw Slob - yu furgot to say it had to be attached and tight too.

hey Pikey - Maybe all the Hippoos shd be sent to the Lebanon - including their owners:D

I've only just joined, and I'm probably therefore lacking some fundamental knowledge, but I would say that you should probably avoid the petrol 1.8 K series engine as it's likely to cause problems.:)

Hmmmm.....not many fans around here then. I've had my 1999 Deisel for three years now and I took the warnings about the petrol engine when I was looking around. Apart from, the leaking sun roof that has never opened, the back door handle falling off, the weird tyre wear that makes funny edges on the tread and makes a lot of road noise, regular coolant top ups, something expensive going wrong with the injector managment that took the threat of court action to have fixed under warrantee and cost the dealer over £1000, the clutch spring snapping in the Rotherhithe tunnel in rush hour, the starter solenoid that jams at least once a week, that it has decided on its own to govern the engine to 3200 revs, and a very wet sump.....I actually really like my Freelander, get the dogs in the back, passengers get leg room, fun driving over fields etc. It still goes, but when something really bad happens I will not be able to afford to take it to a dealers.:p
