So i took my bulkhead for painting today, and they asked me what colour.

I thought id make it easy, and just say "white" but, it seems, theyre buying it in, so i get a choice.

My defender is a 94 (first half year of the 300s) and i know that i can look up the original code via its VIN, however, i think i preferr the, kind of plainer, clearer, greyer(?) whites of some of the other 110s ive seen.

Suggestions?

(sure, i know it wont match, but the rest of the truck will be painted in time too)

mine is a non std white. Most body shops have a camera now which scans the paint to match it. If not they will have a paint supplier who will.
Mine turned out to be a pearlescent mix of Nissan white with a silver and a few other colours thrown in.
You can't even tell it's been painted now

You could buy the paint (enough for the whole Landy) and just paint the bulk head now and save the rest for when you paint the rest of it at least it should be a good match then,

I have just restored a mk2 ford escort, I went to the paint shop and asked for white, his reply is there's hundreds mood diffrent whites, so to keep it simple I went for straight pure white as its a rally car and will need painting many times in its life I would imagine.
