whirring noise

Hi guys,i have this strange whirring noise when slowing down from the front of the Hippo,foot off accelerator,and not braking,but it only starts to do this after about 5miles of driving,could it be a diff problem.
Thanks for any advice

Could be IRD - take prop off to see if the lessened load makes it less noisy

As angeloc says IRD or maybe VCU bearings.

It would be quieter when the oil was cold and do thicker - it takes about 5 miles for a TD4 to get hot and then the oil is thin.

Up date,after getting the prop off,noise still there,so back on it went,done the check on the VCU all good,bloody noise turned out to be OSF wheel bearing :screaming_bug_eye_f

Did you find that by removing the wheel, and going for a short drive....?

Take off the front wheels .Open the brake callipers and clean and grease the guide pins .

as i don't do many miles i took it for a long drive,the noise got really bad after 40 miles,so bad that i could hear where it was coming from.

mine was coming from my front tyres as they were a bit down I changed the lot to wranglers

Sorry about that man , I nearly got a wee bit angry . I sometimes dont read full sentences proper off the pooter .
