Whining noise on full lock

Is this just power steering or something drive train orientated? Worrying noise.

If the noise is there when you are stationery while holding the steering wheel on full lock, it will be the PS pump whining. If the noise is there when you are moving it's likely to be part of the drive train.

If it happens at low speed or stationary its power steering.

Its low speed usually when parking.

Does the noise get louder if you are turning the steering wheel or hold it against the lock stop?

Not sure, don't think it particulary has to be on full lock either.
