Anyone had any experience with these http://www.paddockspares.com/land-r...-wheels/16-inch-aftermarket-steel-wheels.html I'm looking at the Wolf Rim.
I bought a set of Black Modular a couple of years back and all the black pint has lifted. I have just had my 110 resprayed and I want to tidy it up a bit, the wheels are letting it down.
I also like the look of the Rostyle, but they are on the expensive side. Double the cost.
I will also have to check if they will fit my 1990, 110. Defender which still has Drum brakes on the back.

Wolfs are good wheels. Doubt if you will get a problem with them.
I have a set of modulars, think they came from Simmonites, they are fine.
I also have a set of standard rims, they are actually Britpart, bought about three years ago, had no issues with them, quality and finish are OK.

Put a set of modular on my 110, after a couple of years it was impossible to balance one of the fronts as the rim had buckled, (not doing anything extreme by the way, just normal road driving for the most part) changed to a set of wolf rims and never had the slightest problem with them, even fitted a set on a serious off-roader which really did get some hammer, never a whiff of a problem.

Not sure about aftermarket offerings, only ever used genuine ones.

Tubed ones are part number ANR5593. Tubeless ones are part number ANR4583PM.

Trying to avoid creating a new thread, so I'm stealing this one.
I'm currently on 16x7 +8mmOS Modulars on 235/85R16. I'm not a big fan of them aesthetically.
Next month I'm upgrading to 255/85R16 tyres.
I'm in the doubt of keeping my Modulars or change for Wolf wheels. Are they a worthy change?
Anyone with experience with both?
How about Wolfs with 30mm spacers?

Thanks

I got a set of wolf rims on my 110 tipper for a few years now never had a problem with them and I'm always fully loaded with wood chip or logs and giving them some stick on and off road

I'm just about to put genuine wolf wheels on. Just need to change the front wheel studs to the longer version. Pics to follow.....

255 section look good on a Wolf wheel. Not strictly necessary to change the studs for them either.

I had Disco steels on my car for ages, they're also good but I wouldn't go back to them from the Wolfs now.

One of the things that bother me with modulars is that mine are about 3 years old and I'm stating to see signs of rust on the seams...
Are the Wolfs any better with this?
That, and the fake rivets......

I currently have Modulars 16 x 7, I'm thinking of going with 16x6.5 Wolf Rim - tubeless black primer coated. The Modulars are slightly off center. I presume I will lose a bit of my steering lock when I fit the Wolf's

Not that it really matters, and it's harder to tell on Paddocks site these days. But there are two types of Wolf rim. You have genuine ones from LR, which will cost more, but probably are better quality. And you have aftermarket Wolf copies, which usually look the same and are probably fine. But they are likely cheaper for a reason.

I'd personally go with either, but just wanted you to know. The link you posted seems to suggest 'aftermarket' in the spec table. So not a genuine LR item, a copy.

LR don't make Wolf rims. So they are aftermarket as they are part of the Wolf Life extension effort. There are genuine and wolf style rims.

Above is Britpart who are clear its only Wolf style.

I did check the Paddocks link as well which to be honest gave me the same confusion as to what was actually on offer.

For what its worth you need longer studs on some vehicles, CSW 110 for example rear drum brakes just didn't pull through enough to be safe.
