Which Spark Plugs?

Currently running NGK PFR6-11 in a 2000 4.0. The other 4.0 (1998) has NGK BPR6E. Does anyone know if it's imperative to use the Platinums in the newer car? Main reason is the cost - £60 or £12 respectively for a set.
 
I wish someone would post this up in an FAQ,the Rover V8's with long reach threads are all fine on NGK BPR6ES,petrol or LPG,carbs,Flapper,14CUX,Gems or Bosch.
 
Would the reverse apply too? i.e. Platinum plugs in an engine which is supposed to take the BPR6ES or would that overload the system somehow.
