Which one would you choose and why?

I'm looking at getting a more serious off roader now. It will have to be 4seat minimum, low range box, able to tow some form of off road camper/trailer.

Budget wise I will have around £4-5K.

I really fancy a 110, but the other half prefers the creature comforts of the discos. It will be mainly used as an off roader, but may be used as a work/family run about.

I'm not too fussed about age, as long as I can strip it to repair it.

So given the above, what would you choose and why?

i would go with a tdi classic range rover to me they are better than discos as they are not quite as top heavy and dont feel like a disco when your leaning for some reason and you dont have the rear floor rot to worry about on pre 92 models but the down side is the earliest classic now is 18 years old just keep your eyes open when buying all land rovers but 4 to 5k should get you a nice tidy motor
