Hey all,

I have a few Euro to spend on a used car and want to upgrade one of my P38 to L322 diesel.
Should i look for one of the last bmw 6cyl (2006) or is the Tdv8 a better option. The last year the price dropped here in Belgium with the comming of the new Range Rover.
There are a lot of Tdv8 selling around 20000euro with less then 100000 miles and a 1 year warranty on them.

I know that all of the high end vehicles like the RR the Bmw X5 the Audi Q7, Mercedes ML etc have problems somewhere but the Range Rover is my NR1.

So what do you all think?

Thanks.

Buy a Toyota:rolleyes: personally, I think the Td6 is a better option than the TdV8, less to go wrong, others who are power hungry would choose the V8 and the gearbox on the V8 is certainly better.

I once owned a land cruiser, pajero and a patrol gr. Also a Chevy K5 blazer from the 80's and a grand cherokee. 2 classics 3.5 v8 and now 2 p38 2.5dse.

My blazer was the best car (or truck) i ever owned. The grand cherokee 5.9l v8 the worst. The Japs were ok but spare parts very expensive.

The 1989 classic we bought at 200000km and after 8yrs sold it with almost 400000km on it, with minor problems.

I may be dumb but i don't like Toyota, Mitsubishi or Nissan.

I will call and drive around Antwerp this week to ask second hand dealers for a few testdrives with the big germans and land rovers and post the pro and cons here.

Datatek and saint , thanks for the fast reply
