Which lift blocks

I've been looking for some lift blocks for my 300tdi D1 so I can finally fit my 235/85/16 BFG's, someone on Ebay is selling these
land rover discovery spring spacers 50mm | eBay
and these
land rover spring spacers 50mm steel x4 | eBay

Am I right in thinking both will fit, even though the second set are advertised as fitting a defender.

I'll also need to fit extended break lines wont I ?

Yes and possibly .. the rear brake hose bracket can be moved to accomodate much longer articulation. Basically, undo the three connections, undo the clamp bolt, rotate the clamp so the front to rear single connections points up, this will give at least 2" extra play.

Similarly you can move the front connector mounts by cutting and welding ...

Personally, I did that (I'm a tight b'stard) but I also bought +4" braided stainless lines .. ;)

That sounds like a plan, have welder and am tight git.

The lift blocks are now fitted, I also put some spacers under the rear shocks so I don't loose any travel.

For this I used 50 x 50mm box section.

I had to cut about 15mm off the end of the tread on the shock so it would fit, and there is a few mm between nut on the end and the bolt that fixes the spacer to the axle, hopefully there's enough clearance to stop the hitting each other.

I done Paul D's trick with the rear brake lines, I have yet to do the front ones though.

Atleast you got rears on pal rests on my new defender I ended up making spring plate bits for plate to bolt to was a right ball ache

The fronts went on the weekend before, much more work than I first thought and ended up finishing in the dark.

With the new tyres it's 3.5in taller, doesn't sound a lot but you notice when getting in and out.

Going to a P&P site on the 28th to try it all out :D
