I'm replacing my clutch on a 1997 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 V6 5Spd with 4.10 gears
and 35" tires.

I don't want to spend too much money and overkill on a new clutch but I want
to buy quality.

Any recommendations?

LUK seems to be the winner every time!

I've installed more than I have hair on my head, not one comeback. Some of
the other brands, worked fine too. But, I've heard many horror stories.

Sachs is another top of the line brand, and I forgot the name of the other
brand with an Italian name, but have used a few with success and have heard
many good things.

Stay away from the Taiwaneese boxed sets from the mass merchandisers. Look
in the bod to make sure it doesn't say made in Taiwan.

I have had great service from the ones Canadian Tire sell.

I had to pull my engine after a year of heavy off road mud and water
running in my CJ7 with BFG 33" muds and both the faces of the clutch
disk still had the printed labels on them. I was quite surprised I put
so little wear on it.

Do you know what the make is?
What comes in the kit?

You should phone and ask, likely they have different suppliers for
different ones and different years. The Jeep one was a centerforce
style one with all the little fingers.

The kit came with a centering tool, clutch disk pressure plate and throw
out bearing. I had to order the pilot bushing extra.
