I haven't been on the forum for a while but need some advice.

Want to buy a 110 as a work horse, lwb without the windows. Have been looking at a variety from 2002 to 2007 with no more than 100K on clock.

Can anyone give me some good advice on which engine is the better as don't understand difference between 300tdi and TD5 but did see that the engine was changed around 2007 to a 2.4 ford.

Thanks.

The later the better as most of the faults had been sorted out just make sure it's the later engine 52 plate or above

Thanks Lanny man 90 for the advice. I was a little confused. I don't live in England anymore so will look for the late 2002 and above plates.

Whats the difference other than dowel pins nylon to steel?

The main differences are different cylinder heads to get over the cracking head and oil sump filling up with diesel malarky (this means different injectors too althouh early injectors can be used on the later heads but not vice versa) and also a cooler for the egr valve.
