Where's the intake?

Because the engine was retro-fitted. None of the defenders require the intake on the side of the wing. It's there purely to draw cold fresh air into the air filter box and then to the engine. Yours will no doubt just have an opening or a funnel straight off their air filter box. It's actually less likely to draw water and crap into your engine if its pointing into your wing where water struggles to reach if your'e splashing through a puddle! Dunny worry

Yes you would yeah. The only thing you'd have to watch out for is the seal that you create between the snorkel body and the wing. The 'wedge' shaped indent on the wing where you'd usually find the intake grill / vent mates to the same shaped rubber / foam seal on the snorkle. I imagine you'd be able to get around this quite well, just be careful and plan it out properly!
