Hi,

New to forum, & found it searching for where to connect the rpm lead for an Lpg conversion I am attempting on a L322 4.4 (BMW engine). - found a post here saying to splice the wire into the white wire on either cylinder one or five's coil (on spark plug) - I did this & am having issues, seams to only be seeing half the cylinders as when I plug in my laptop the rpm's keep droping or surging my system is a Zavoli Alesei sequenziale -
anyone know where to joint the rpm lead ?

I have little knowledge of these things - but have you set the LPG software to 8 cylinders?? as each cylinder will cycle half as many times as a 4 cylinder hence why you are getting half signal or something!

You know which is #1 i gather, its one nearest oil cap. I seen on some post that it was #4 for rpm splice, but could be wrong..

Anyway, welcome:). Some very knowledgable chaps on here who will doubtless be along soon to help you out.

Ok, worried now ! - I thought number one was front of near side bank, or right hand bank looking into engine bay, that's what my manual says, if it
is in fact on the bank with the oil filler cap (which is in the left hand bank when looking at engine, or right bank if sat in car) then I have wired up incorrectly, perhaps someone can confirm !

It is set up as eight cylinder BTW

For a while, i was led to believe was other way round, until i was told to hop up and get a plan view of engine, clearly bank with oil cap is the forward one, if your not learning, your dead.....:)Mine had a nudge bar fitted, really should just call it ''The stairs''..lol
