I'm looking for a series III, fully retored/prepared and live near Shrewsbury in Shropshire.

Whar are the best web sites with lots of such vehicles for sale?

where are the best dealers for such vehicles?

your help/advice is appreciated.

You're asking the wrong questions. You won't find some magical place with loads of pristine restored III's. You need to know what exactly it is you're looking for, especially if you're prepared to pay a premium for a nice example.

What's your budget? Have you driven one before? - If not, I would, it's a culture shock! What do you want it for? - Occasional greenlaning, everyday transport, towing a trailer full of pigs?

Try a search on here for 'buying advice' things like that, there's been a lot of similar posts.

I looked at them a while back - even went as far as getting in touch. Their landies seemed axpensive and I found this :News Item then walked away. They may have turned over a new leaf, however ........ Than again it may well be a completely different company - you never know

Make no difference where you buy from unless you get a nice long warranty, which on an old landy is gonna cost a bomb in itself.

Only way is to crawl all over, round, under and in with a big hammer and torch. Dealers luv that

There was a real tidy series 3 for bout 4k on the a41 towards witchurch from w-ton but that was a few months back wen i went no idea if its stil there, its a little garage but i cant remember the name!sorry, they may have others, seem to have a real mix of all car types.

Used to be Huddersfield Landrover did restoration and resale of SIII. Strathearn Engineering in Auchterarder had some nice wagons last time I went by a few months back.

It's always buyer beware, an you better get ready to travel and choose your frog carefully. You can snog many of em all you like, but you'll just end up with burnt lips and a frog. There are some princesses though, I always say spend £1k less than your budget if you want a good one, and save the 1k for restoration you didn't plan!
