It was thick fog this morning and -1c, i drive 10 miles of country road at 6.30am to get to a main road each day for work. I could barely see the white lines on the road and was taking it easy at 25-30mph max, when this prick shoots up behind me and after a mile or so starts flashing me up, as usual this has no effect on me at all and in some cases causes my vehicle to slow down;).

He overtakes me at the first opportunity  and disappears into the fog. To make it worse, the black/white chevron corner signs keep getting nicked by pikeys on this road and them corners can jump out at any time in bad weather:rolleyes:

What i was wondering was, does every non-landy driver expect that just because it a fekking big 4x4 that it has x-ray vision devices or some-such??

If they do then will someone tell me where the switch is please:eek::eek:

Cocks

When eventualy he finds the ditch he might try waving you down to pull him out and I hope you just see him in time.Just as he jumps out of the way into the ditch of cold water.

Has the same affect on all my vehicles too. Once sat in the outside lane at exactly 55, the same as the lorry next to me cus a **** in a bmw came up behind me and started flashing when i was next to the lorry. Where the hell did he expect me to go? As no one was behind him i just slowed down. Kept going for miles, just flipped the mirror so i wasn't getting his lights in my eyes.

Needless to say, he wasn't a happy bunny when i eventually let him past - pulled in front and slammed his foot on the brake... don't think the lorry driver was too impressed with him for that one.

Oh, and, it's the third switch along on the second row on the left.

carefull i got a bolicking for that and am still waiting for summons....:rolleyes::mad:

the thing is, he probably knows the road better than you, that's why he disappeared into the fog.

I used to do 16 miles of A road everyday to get to work...I know that road so well that even in fog I could do it without seeing the corners ahead, I know where to start breaking, the corners apex,etc...
then again on the bike I never have the need to flash anyone

Yep. But you can't pre-empt the vehicle that has cut out in the road ahead, or the pedestrian crossing the road etc.

its true, but Life's a gamble...

i couldnt possibly think like that or else I would be taking every corner on the bike at 20mph....
