Where do you connect DRL headlights?

Hey all I've just bought an '06 110 & am installing new headlights with halo ring DRLs. There is the main plug for the headlight, a wire that I've connected to the indicator positive wire and a wire to connect to a 12v wire that is live when the engine is running i guess - they recommend at the ignition but its miles away. Are there any 12v wires in the engine bay I can use? If you could be as descriptive as possible I'd be grateful this is pretty new for me!
