When to renew Timing belt on Freelander 2.0 DI

Mine was last changed 4 years ago and we have covered 25000 miles since then.
I contacted my local Land rover dealership who at first said 96000mls
then changed their minds to 48000mls and then said there was no time limit either.
I have a feeling there talking rubish as I seem to vaguely remember 4 or 5 years between changes but I might be wrong.

As a rule change it every 48000 miles or 4 years which ever is sooner. Other factors to consider include, if the vehicle has been stood for a long period of time then it would be wise to change it before it is used again.
I personnally think 48000 miles is premature and changed mine after 60000 miles.
