Looking to order a new set of wheels and tyres next week. Cant decide between 31 10.5 15 or 33 12.5 15.... I know im gonna need to do some cutting but any advice whats best to get??

I picked up a set of 265/75/16 bf Goodrich AT tyres on alloys which I'm still trying to pluck up the courage to fit! I see you are in the same town, if I grow a pair and put them on I'll let you know how it went. Try this link, as it's got a visualiser feature for you to compare tyres side by side etc

Just do it - they fitted straight into my D1 with its tired suspension. Then I fitted a set of 265/75r16 insa turbo traction trac which were quite a bit bigger than the bfg at and required a camel cut. I had already trimmed the front valence any way.
Ran the insa tyres for a month with a largely standard set up, though I did have rrc police spec springs in the back which brought the back end up a little once more.

Markhall area mate. Mine is pretty much standard, apart from a slight lift. i need to really get my arse in gear and sort her out so that I can try some off road stuff lol

Thats not too far from me im by the crematorium... Once your all ready theres a good lane in North Weald that me and a mate have gone to a couple of times you should come

Sounds good! Wheels loaded in the back ready to take to work to stick on. Will update you on whether any cutting was needed...

Davevx, Spent a while balancing the wheels. Went to put them on the front and found my brakes need sorting. Cars off the road while I'm waiting for new calipers, discs and pads.

However I tried both fronts on and found them close to the back of the arch. Drivers side is very close and almost touches the bodywork when turned right, so a bit of chopping will be needed at the back of the arch. I'm thinking of buying extended arches and fitting them and be done with it.

Only managed to get a quick snap of the passenger side as I forgot and had already put the standard back on the drivers side. Still it shows the size difference and also how close it is to the arch. Like I say the drivers side was closer. I have a two inch lift on mine. But the front drivers side has always sat around 10mm lower for some reason. The springs I fitted were never side specific so have never really worked it out lol

Looking good mate! Yeah get the extended arches on.... In the end i ordered a set of 33 12.5 15s and looking to do a 4" lift ... So will let you know how it goes! Keep us posted about yours mate!
