wheels any difference

just got a set of allous from a 53 plate 3 door hippo and put them on my 2002 5 door .they were a bit tight i thought from all the threads i read before hand they would be sound is there any reason as to how they were tight to fit (have the 3 mm clearance on the back from the drim, an the fron has the clearance from the caliper as it had new pads fitted in sept 07 for m.o.t) curious?

yes there is a difference, they shouldn't be tight, different pitches/offsets, drive with them like that something is gonna snap, do a search on this forum about wheels

So larger internal diameter on the new >2001 alloys,

What year is a 53 plate????

passes the brake calipers and have 3mm clearance on the rear drums a 53 plate is late 2003 hope this helps
