I really need to consider getting some new wheel nuts for my new rims as i'm am currently only using the standard wheels nuts.

To be fair i don't have a clue what to look for really? can anyone point out to me where i can get the right ones? And some decent ones at that, no cheap alternatives. As it says in the title they are to hold on my steel modulars. And if it's any help i have a 1991 Defender 90 200tdi.

Thanks in advance!

I need something with a bit more security though as i have to make a few yearly trips to areas in the country where she'll be all alone each day with me sat in a classroom about 5 miles away.

getting some decent locking nuts with a key on one for each wheel will make me that little bit happier that all 4 wheels are that little bit more secure.

Locking wheel-nuts are available from any LR parts supplier at about £20-£25 for a set of five inc' key, just make sure you get the correct ones (for steel wheels and not alloys).

Ok thanks,

Are there any measurements i need to know, for example the thread, nut size etc. Or are they universal across the the whole defender's age range? for example; a 'Defender wheel nut' from 'lahhdeedahh.com' will fit every defender?

They are completely standard across the 90/110/Defender range but you must make sure you order ones for steel wheels and not alloys, that is where the difference is.

i dont think theftof your wheels should be to much of a problem unless theyre summat special. your more likely to find it all gone these days
